Small thoughts shared when in transit.  Adding light to your day.

Fresh Start

Everything is new until it isn't.

So at the start of a blog post I get the choice to leave behind what wasn't aligned with my ultimate vision.  Declare to live freely and never settle again.

I want to encourage you all to let go of settling.  In your settling lies comfortability, an agreement you make with yourself about your circumstances and situation.  And in your settle you close off doors to possibilities that are endless and full of vitality and nourishment for your soul.

Your circumstances can change, but only if you allow, create and promote them to.

I think we might get a couple times on this plane but none of that matters.  NOW is the time that's important.  NOW is the time you get to laugh and pass your joy onto others.  I believe a big thing surrounding joy can be felt from the way you impact your brothers and sisters.  And let's be clear, I'm talking about the global community that we all represent as a family.  It's widely accepted we were all born on this planet, and if that's the case, we are all connected.  So if you wouldn't allow your brother or your sister to settle for the sake of passing, take time to care for your well-being just the same. And know that when you take care of yourself, you also have the potential to take care of the planet.

If you find yourself saying yes just because you're use to saying yes, take time to check in around that.  Are you settling?

Have you stopped being curious about different aspects of your life? Are you no longer curious about the people in the car next to you or standing in front of you on a subway?  Do you think you no longer have space for other friends?  Settling?

Because of your circumstances, because of your finances, you have to go to your 'job.' What you do at your job is just alright but there is something else you'd like to do.  You don't know how you will survive without it.  Is your conversation about settling?

Fear can come up when doing something new.

But at one point you couldn't form words.  You couldn't move both your feet at the same time.  In the beginning the light felt blinding as you entered this world.  It was new until it wasn't.

The ocean provides us with waves of new starts from the friction of the wind.  Instead of fighting, it dances to embrace what wasn't there before.  Each push and pull being different.

I'll leave you with a quote from Emile Coue, a french psychologist and pharmacist who introduced a method of self-improvement based on optimistic autosuggestion. I repeat this statement mentally during morning meditations.  It's your life and every day you get to decide how you want to show up.

"Every day and in every way I am getting better and better." -Emile Coue
